DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS

caaspp California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is the state academic testing program intended to provide information that can be used to monitor student progress and ensure that all students leave high school ready for college and career. Students who have the most significant cognitive disabilities, as designated in their active individualized education program, are eligible to take the California Alternative Assessments (CAAs).

Students in grades 3-8 and 11 will take either the computer adaptive CAASPP or CAAs in English and Math. In addition, students in grade 5, 8, and 12 will take California Science Test (CAST) in spring 2018.

In late summer/early fall, parents/guardians will receive the student score reports with overall score, a description of the student’s achievement level for English language arts, mathematics, science if applicable, and other information.

More information about CAASPP & CAST or CAAs

Parents/guardians have the right to exempt their child(ren) from taking the CAASPP, CAAs, and/or CAST. For more information about your school’s schedule or concerns about your child’s participation, please contact your school.
